We can’t get enough of Tom Daley knitting at the Olympics

The champion was stitching during the springboard finals

British diver and television personality Tom Daley has charmed Olympic viewers once again as he was seen knitting during the women’s 3m springboard finals on Sunday morning, August 1, 2021. During the telecast, BBC commentator Katherine Downes spotted the 27-year-old fully engrossed in an activity. “There’s Tom Daley. He’s got his knitting needles out,” she said. “What do you reckon he’s crafting there? I wonder who he’s making that purple concoction for?”

The internet was quick to notice and made the whole thing a viral event. Today, the official Olympics Instagram page cemented the moment saying, “No time off knitting for the Olympic Champion Tom Daley. Do you think these remarkable designs just make themselves?”

If you haven’t followed Tom outside of his sports endeavor, the Olympic gold medalist has been an avid fan of knitting and crochet. He even has an Instagram page for it @madewithlovebytomdaley, showcasing his many projects including cardigans, dresses, tank tops, and dog jumpers.
