LACOSTE PRESENTED ITS 85TH ANNIVERSARY CAPSULE COLLECTION
SEPTEMBER 10 | Bonifacio High Street Central
To celebrate its 85th anniversary, Lacoste created an exclusive pop-up experience at the Central Square of Bonifacio High Street Central in Taguig City by presenting a capsule collection that’s also a tribute to the French brand’s founder René Lacoste. The designs took inspiration from the French noble colors of white and blue. Spanning 136 sq.m., the pop-up shop display and structure reflect the elegantly minimalist style of the French, complemented by the collection’s liberal use of white and blue, which are considered as the colors of French nobility. The shop’s graphics and decoration also reinterpreted its approach to chronophotography, a classic yet innovative artistic view on the movement that is dear to the brand with the crocodile logo.
ORIGINAL PENGUIN DROPPED THE B-SIDE BOOGIE
It’s all about throwing back to decades past with Original Penguin’s take on color blocking for its fall 2018 line B-Side Boogie. Channeling the ‘60s northern soul, ‘70s disco, ‘80s hip-hop, and ‘90s slacker cultures, B-Side Boogie is an energetic mash-up of retro-bowling stripes and graphics in a lively palette of firecracker orange, midnight navy, vintage indigo, and burgundy.
