RUN FOR THE OCEANS 2018 KICKED OFF
JUNE 19 | Bonifacio Global City
To kick off this year’s edition of Run for the Oceans, a global running partnership between adidas and Parley for the Oceans that was established in 2015 to combat the threat of marine plastic pollution, runners from around the world did a 3km.- run around Bonifacio Global City, led by the adidas Runners (AR) Manila team. Afterwards, there were speeches given by holistic lifestyle coach Nikki Torres, ocean advocate Vani Vergara, and event host, AR Manila captain Jules Aquino about how the public can take part in living a sustainable life by paying attention to what they buy and consume.

In line with this advocacy, adidas Running also revealed the upcoming limited release of the UltraBOOST Parley and UltraBOOST X shoes, which fuse performance-oriented footwear technology with progressive eco-innovation. Featuring an energy‐return BOOST™ midsole and an upper that is 95 percent made of Parley Ocean Plastic™ Primeknit, each pair of these shoes prevents approximately 11 plastic bottles from possibly ending in the ocean.

RED CARPET UNROLLED AT THE 2018 MTV MUSIC AND TV AWARDS
JUNE 21 | Santa Monica, California
Although not as glamorous as the Oscar’s or the Met Gala’s, we’re not gonna take a pass on this red carpet, especially when our favorites such as Alison Brie, Zendaya, Nick Jonas, Tiffany Haddish, and Love, Simon‘s Keiynan Lonsdale were present.

Alison Brie was GLOW-ing in this Sandy Liang see-through number.
Awards night host Tiffany Haddish decided to rest her beloved Alexander McQueen dress for a moment (it showed up later during the evening, don’t worry) and wore this gown from Galia Lahav instead for her grand red carpet entrance.
Zendaya keeps on winning in life, and this mini-dress by August Getty is no exception.
Nick Jonas went solo in an all-black everything. Please tell us you’re no longer with Priyanka Chopra and you’re on the market again? Kidding! We’re happy for you. Really.
Is Millie Bobbie Brown now rocking long red locks? Oh wait, that’s Sadie Sink, the new Stranger Things cast member, together with her costars Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, and Gaten Matarazzo. Congrats on winning Best Show, guys!
Congrats on winning the Best Kiss Award in Love, Simon, Keiynan Lonsdale! You look like a golden prince in this fantastic outfit. Can we petition to have him cast in Black Panther 2, please?
Speaking of Black Panther, Chadwick Boseman was also present, wearing Off-White coordinates as he accepted the Best Hero award for playing T’Challa and the Best Movie award for Black Panther.
How about Michael B Jordan looking like a winner wearing these Dsquared2 pants? And yes, that’s right, he won Best Villain too!
